MANUAL

Good morning, today we have a 1972 OLDSMOBILE - F-85 / CUTLASS / 442 / DELTA 88 / NINETY EIGHT 98 / VISTA CRUISER / TORONADO - ORIGINAL FACTORY SERVICE MAINTENANCE MANUAL up for auction.

The book is in a good used condition. The manual comes from a former GM dealership, and as such has been used by the mechanics in the dealership. It may have some dust and stains, and greasy finger prints on some pages

The book is large, and is approx 1 3/4 inches thick. It contains all the information that a mechanic needs for the repair of these type of vehicles.

This book is the rarer Canadian version. It seems that us Canuks must be dumber than our American counterparts, as the Canadian version of General Motors manuals are usually better illustrated and have a better description of the repair procedures than the US versions.

It cover the following chapters:

GENERAL INFORMATION
LUBRICATION
HEATING & VENTILATION
AIR CONDITIONING
AIR CONDITIONING COMPRESSOR
BUMPER
SHEET METAL
FRONT ALIGNMENT
STEERING
FRONT SUSPENSION
WHEELS & TIRES
PROPELLER SHAFT & U JOINTS
REAR AXLE
BRAKES
ENGINE MECHANICAL
ENGINE COOLING
ENGINE EMISSION CONTROLS
ENGINE EXHAUST
AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION
MANUAL TRANSMISSION
CLUTCH
CHASSIS ELECTRICAL
ACCESSORIES
Special Tools,

Even though this book is for a 1972 I am sure most information can be used for other year models as well, as there was not many changes between the years.

These books are invaluable if you are able to do your own repair work. A similar manual on a car I owned saved me over $800.00 on a repair that I could do myself, as opposed to having a dealer do the service work.

The book should pay for itself after only one use.

This book is a MUST HAVE if you are still driving one of these older model vehicles.

Unfortunately we are located in Canada, and delivery may take longer than if it was mailed from a US address - Delivery is usually 7 to 10 business days.

We have several similar manuals on auction this week and will gladly combine items for the lowest shipping cost.

Shipping & Payment

Shipping for this item is only $12.95 (USPS FLAT RATE BOX) for all areas of North America, except CANADA which is $17.80, with very secure packaging. This is the actual cost of postage from Canada to the USA since Canada Post raised their rates on Jan. 12

For payment we accept PAYPAL, .

THANK YOU FOR LOOKING

and

GOOD LUCK BIDDING

BMW reveals plans for Efficient Dynamics Mk2

Mon, 09 Mar 2009

By Ben Whitworth Motor Industry 09 March 2009 09:49 BMW is pushing ahead with its second-generation Efficient Dynamics green car technology – with help from space scientists at NASA. Employing a thermoelectric generator similar in principle to those developed to power satellites will, according to BMW’s head of development Klaus Draeger, boost economy by some 5% on the combined cycle. Expect to see the new Efficient Dynamics tech in showrooms by 2014.
