"Excellent 1973-77 Delco AM Radio"

This is a factory original GM Delco Chevrolet AM RADIO. This was one of the available radios offered in new cars and trucks from 1973-1977. Very few 1977 Chevrolets were equipped with this radio. The face chrome trim is in very good condition, and the station preset switches all work great. The station window is clear, and the manual tuner needle is still a nice red color. The font is crisp and white and looks great. The dial illuminates whenever the headlights are turned on to match the color of the gauges. I have tested the radio and it works very well as it picks up many stations on both the AM frequencies. Cosmetically the radio is nice and in 100% working condition, ready to install. The radio metal case is also in really good condition with no corrosion issues. The face measurements are 5 3/4" shaft to shaft, the face as viewed through center opening of a face panel is 4 1/4" wide, and 2 1/4" high. It has the GM 10 pin connector receptacle on the rear of the unit. It is for 1973-1977 Chevrolet cars and trucks. These older Delco GM pushbutton radio are getting hard to find in working condition, so if you are looking to upgrade to convert back to a factory Delco GM setup then here's your chance to grab a real nice quality radio.

PAYMENT and SHIPPING:  Most of my items are shipped USPS within three days or less in most cases of receiving payment.  Because of the rare nature of many of these parts, I dedicate additional time and materials packaging these items to prevent damage during shipping. It is your money, and I do not just toss them in a box and call it good enough. In addition to "PayPal", I will accept most other forms of payment. Personal checks will be held a few days to clear. Shipping/Handling within the United States will be 23.00. This is not a generic auction, the item you see as pictured is the item you will receive. This is a 40+ year old item and sold as is.  I am a retired USAF aircraft maintenance superintendent and enjoy this as a hobby in my spare time rather than a business.  Please ask questions, and I will reply as soon as possible. Thank you for looking and good luck.

2013 Land Rover Freelander 2 facelift coming

Tue, 03 Jul 2012

Land Rover are working on a mild facelift for the Freelander 2 for 2013 as it comes towards the end of its shelf life. It’s almost two years since Land Rover last facelifted the Freelander 2, a car that’s been with us since 2006, when they threw in some minor cosmetic tweaks, the first FWD Land Rover and gave us a more powerful diesel option. Somewhere prior to that Land Rover had quietly dropped the V6 petrol engine (in the UK, at least), so adding a more powerful version of the 2.2 litre diesel made sense as did providing a lower price entry point in the FWD Freelander.

Rolls Royce Wraith Drophead Coupe confirmed for production.

Sun, 03 Nov 2013

The Rolls Royce Wraith (pictured) will get a Drophead sibling in 2016 It was always likely that Rolls Royce would take their ‘affordable’ model – the RR Ghost – and make a coupe version. What wasn’t really on the cards is that they would give it a more dramatic style – and a more driver-focused experience – and tag a name from the past on it to create a new Rolls Royce Wraith for the 21st century. But that’s exactly what they’ve done, and the Wraith does seem to be an effective tool for Rolls Royce to extend the appeal of their cars to a new, perhaps younger, demographic.

Help American Dreaming movie tell the story of the postwar era's car designers [w/video]

Tue, 16 Sep 2014

The makers of a new movie charting America's postwar car designers are seeking donations to make the project become reality. The film's makers are hoping to raise $100,000 to make American Dreaming, a documentary movie that aims to tell the story of the lives of the men and women who worked in automotive design between 1948 and 1973. The film will be produced by Detroit artist Robert Edwards, former Detroiter Greg Salustro, and cinematographer Jim Toscano, and will include interviews with the men and women who worked in automotive design studios at the time.
