The re-introduction was confirmed at the new car’s unveiling at the 2014 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit – and it’s great news for us Brits. When the Subaru WRX STi goes on sale in the UK later this year it will cost £28,995 – that’s a whopping £4,000 less than its predecessor.

My name is Rory Carroll, and as of this week, my full-time job is to be hopelessly obsessed with cars, and to share that obsession with you, the readers of autoweek.com. Bset Car Magazine's take on a new hybrid MR-2 / MR-S The Toyota MR-2 was a much loved sports car in its day (despite the MR-2 bit sounding like ‘Sh*t’ if said in French) and lovers of the MR-2 have long bemoaned its passing. But if reports by Japan’s Best Car Magazine are to be believed, Toyota are planning a new MR-2 as a hybrid to take on the Honda CR-Z Coupe. Which does have a ring of truth to it.
