Condition:Used

I have owned this car since September 2014. I am the third owner. It is garage kept, 100% of the time. It just passed 103,700 miles, with a clear title (note to potential buyers: be wary of Ghia auctions with "low" "original" miles; the odometer resets back to 0 miles at 100,000).

The previous owner had this Ghia since 1999 and it was garage kept while he owned it.

All of the following updates have been made within the past 20,000 miles (restoration receipts and maintenance records included).  This Ghia is extremely reliable (oil changed, screen cleaned, and valves adjusted every 3000 miles), and is driven on a
regular basis but only in fair weather (avoiding rain, snow, and salty roads when possible).

While in the original owner’s possession, the car was rear‐ended and had rear body damaged. The rear clip of the car was replaced with the rear clip of a ’70 model, and the repair is unnoticeable except for the smaller (and more nicely‐shaped) rear tail light lenses.

With its performance upgrades (dual carbs, header/extractor exhaust, electronic ignition, smaller sport steering wheel, upgraded shocks, etc.) it accelerates and handles much better than a stock vintage model, is easier to drive and requires less maintenance (no filing of points; dual carbs don't ice up and bog like a single carb setup), and has a very nice sounding modern stereo system as well. Heater system works well in the winter, with fresh air vents in the dash and rear for defrosting (no A/C for summer, but it's not too hot with the windows rolled down). Stock 1600cc dual port engine is very strong with plenty of low and midrange torque for sporty acceleration.

The paint is Porsche Speed Yellow in great condition, and needless to say, it turns a lot of heads. I have touch-up paint that I will include.  This is a car that is ready to drive and be enjoyed!!

In addition to the upgrades and restoration mentioned above, I have replaced 36 other parts, which I added to his list below (I have the receipt). I wanted to make sure this car started without fail and didn’t leave me stranded. It comes with a car cover, touch up paint for chips, original owner’s manual, stereo manual, VW "Idiot's guide," wiring diagrams and carb sync instructions.

Aston Martin ditches Cygnet city car

Tue, 01 Oct 2013

CITY SLICKERS will no longer be able to cut a dash in a diminutive Aston Martin, following the company's decision to axe the controversial Cygnet from its range. The tiny Cygnet, which takes its name from a young swan, was an adaptation of the Toyota iQ, refitted with the finest luxury materials and priced at over £30,000. Its low CO2 output is rumoured to have been the main reason for the model’s presence in the range, since Aston Martin could in that way lower the company’s average CO2 output across the range in line with European emissions rules.
