Dodge red lights in your autonomous Audi: More tech from CES
Wed, 08 Jan 2014Audi wowed the crowd at CES with a new advancement in, of all things, headlights when it announced it would show a version of its Sport quattro laserlight Concept with laser beam headlights. Frickin' laser beams, as Dr. Evil once demanded on sharks (the good doctor ultimately had to settle for sea bass instead of sharks, but they still had laser beams).
Rain, wind and snow to batter UK
Fri, 14 Feb 2014FLOOD VICTIMS are bracing themselves for yet more misery as heavy rain, wind and snow is set to batter Britain. Forecasters warn that the appalling conditions which have ravaged communities show no signs of abating, with heavy rain expected today and Saturday. A "multi-pronged attack" of wind, rain and snow is expected to strike tomorrow, with heavy rain leading to more potential flooding as downpours of up to 40mm (1.6 inches) could fall in just six hours, with gusts of up to 70mph, a Met Office spokesman said.
Jaguar BlackJag 2004 concept car up for sale
Wed, 28 May 2014It's not often that a former auto show concept is offered for sale, mostly because of buzzkill stuff like government crash standards, emissions compliance documents and other boring paperwork. But it does happen from time to time, such as when General Motors sold off a chunk of its Heritage Collection -- though most of those cars were sold without titles, just on bills of sale, which prevents them from being registered for road use. This week there is (allegedly) a 2004 Geneva motor show concept for sale -- a running concept car for that matter -- with a steep price to go along with it, as GTSpirit has discovered.
