New Infiniti Q50 2.0 litre Turbo – Price from £31,755
Tue, 08 Jul 2014New Infiniti Q50 2.0 litre Turbo costs from £31,755 The Infiniti Q50 should be Infiniti’s best chance to convince buyers Infiniti is a viable option in the premium sector and a sensible alternative to the BMW 3 Series. That perception will be helped – a bit – by the arrival of the Infinito Q50 with another engine option, this one a 2.0 litre Turbo petrol with 211 bhp, which comes with a seven-speed automatic as standard. Oddly, Infiniti are shy of delivering any performance or economy data for the new 2.0 litre Turbo, so we’re guessing the figures don’t really impress too much.
Zagato V12 triumphs at Villa d'Este
Mon, 23 May 2011The Aston Martin V12 Zagato was victorious at this year's Concorso d’Eleganza at Villa d’Este, winning the Design Award for Concept Cars and Prototypes. The modern interpretation of the iconic DB4GT Zagato fought off competition from ten other entries including BMW’s 328 Hommage, Audi’s Quattro concept and the James Glickenhaus P4/5 Competizione Ferrari. Dr Ulrich Bez, CEO of Aston Martin, said: “We are thrilled to see that this car conquered people’s hearts.
New VW Golf R Mk 7 costs from £29,900 in the UK
Fri, 08 Nov 2013The new VW Golf R (pictured) costs from £29,900 The best of the MK 7 Golfs – the new Golf R – arrived back in August ahead of its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show, with Volkswagen telling us it would go on sale in early 2014. But it’s actually on sale now, a few weeks early. At £29,900 (for the 3-door with 6-speed manual), the Golf R is a sensible price ( at least in comparison to VW’s truly silly price for the MK 6 Golf R Cabrio – which they subsequently dropped by more than £5k) and undercuts the similar Audi S3.
