Condition:Used

Looks like I'm down to the last few items left over from my recently departed 1974 Alfa Romeo GTV.  Up for auction is a used, OEM owner's manual.  I searched for quite a long time before finding it, and even though the spine is completely disintegrated, no pages are missing and it is in solid, used shape.  I am sure it could be repaired, but I never seriously looked into it.  This owner's manual also contains short sub-sections for the same year Berlina and Spider.  I took a number of photos to try to give potential bidder's a good idea of its overall condition.  The pages are very clean inside; not stained or dirty at all.  Please take a look at the pics closely, and be sure to let me know if you have any questions about the manual.  Thanks, and good luck bidding!

Daihatsu FC ShoCase

Mon, 14 Nov 2011

The FC ShoCase is the most unorthodox of the three concepts being previewed by Daihatsu prior to their unveil at the forthcoming Tokyo motoshow. The 'FC' in the name stands for fuel cell, and this concept is in essence a technology demonstrator for the company's next generation technology, which use no precious metals in their construction. Sitting – like its concept siblings – under the Kei car classification (it is just 3395mm long), the FC ShoCase nonetheless has space for four occupants, seated in exceptionally thin seats that fold down to create a secondary floor.

One Lap of the Web: Diesels, Deadmau5, Excalibur and Excelsior!

Mon, 03 Feb 2014

-- It's the 50th anniversary of Excalibur, the company with fine craftsmen who keep the neoclassical motoring dream alive, or in some vaguely zombielike semblance thereof. And while the Excalibur's retro vibes arose from the mausoleum of the Mercedes-Benz SSK, Hemmings has discovered Brooks Stevens's other neoclassic: the Excalibur 35X, meant to look like a Bugatti Type 35. Just 27 were built in Italy on the chassis of Opel Commodores, fitted with inline-sixes.

Bentley crafts mechanical artwork for Prince's Trust charity auction

Thu, 01 Sep 2011

Most of us will never own an ultraluxury car such as a Bentley, but for a slightly lesser price you can still have something built in Crewe. Bentley Motors and its employees from the tooling, woodshop and styling departments have created a range of collector items the will cross the auction block to raise funds for the Prince's Trust charity. The items include Bentley artwork, a chess set and Bentley camshaft lamps.
