This Chaparral SSX 440 was stored in a barn up until this summer and turns over smoothly with strong compression.  I was told that it was running when parked 15 years ago, and it looks like it will run again with minimal work.  This is one of the first successful liquid-cooled production sleds.  The track/suspension is in good shape.  The skis aren't correct.  It has the serial number 126688 and has 3576 miles on it.   If you purchase the sled but can't get it right away, I can store the sled for several months at no additional cost until local pickup can be arranged, as long as the snowmobile has been paid for.  Free delivery to A-1 or HAYDAYS! All items are sold as-is. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks, -Paul (269) 838-0395

Alfa MiTo Sportiva & Giulietta Sportiva added to range

The result was that more than three quarters of them failed, with those that did recording an average of three serious or dangerous faults, with one participant committing 10 major faults.

Concept Car of the Week: Mercedes T80 (1939)

Fri, 19 Sep 2014

In the decade before World War II, no other carmaker even came close to matching the combined dominance of Mercedes-Benz and recently founded Auto Union. Supported by Adolf Hitler's Nazi government, the two brands had grander plans to demonstrate Germany's technological supremacy. In August 1936, Auto Union engineer Ferdinand Porsche and race car driver Hans Stuck approached Wilhelm Kissel, chairman of Daimler-Benz, and presented a plan to build a car that would set a new land speed world record.
