The results, announced today, were another surprise in the 44-year history of CoTY, as the Insignia pipped the Ford Fiesta and pushed the VW Golf into third place. Helicopter crashes while filming driverless Audi
Fri, 17 Sep 2010A helicopter crashed near the summit of Pike's Peak in Colorado on Friday while filming a test run of Audi's self-guided vehicle. Local media reports say the pilot is in critical condition and that the three passengers are stable. The crew was filming Audi's autonomous TTS as part of a project to ascend Pike's Peak, just west of Colorado Springs, Colo., in order to demonstrate the abilities of advanced driverless and GPS systems.
Brits prefer driving abroad

The lower price of fuel in continental Europe also attracts British drivers. Every year, 4.2 million British drivers head to Europe and research by the RAC shows the UK ranks only 24th when it comes to the quality of its roads.
