This is an original 10 page color article carefully removed from Collectible Automobile (2008) on the last of the fullsize cars - the beautiful luxurious 1975 - 1979 Lincoln Continental ! This article, printed on thick high quality paper has beautiful glossy color pictures and interesting history of the large 2 door coupe and 4 door sedan. Included in the article are the engineering and styling features throughout the late 70's, including the aftermath of the gas crisis and its affect on Continental sales. Also included are some of the special Continentals, like theCollector Series, Williamsburg, Town Car and more. The various models, prices and production figures for all the models are listed. A total of 74 students graduated in various fields including Automotive Design, Transport and Product Design, Vehicle Design, Boat Design and Consumer Product Design. With such a large body of graduating students, Coventry have wisely chosen to introduce a separate 'Selected Works' show this year for industry guests, which also opened to the public for one week at the end of June.

Fri, 17 Aug 2012The “friends of Carroll Shelby” are saluting the late automotive pioneer with a remarkable, one-off 850-hp GT500 Cobra that was revealed Friday at the Monterey Motorsports Reunion. Ford Motor Co., Shelby American, Ford Racing and others collaborated on the omnipotent machine, styled in the blue and white colors of the legendary Cobras of the 1960s. It gets a wide body kit, high-performance 13-inch-wide rear wheels and a 4.0-liter Ford Racing supercharger that lifts output from the GT500's usual level of 662 hp.
