This auction if for (1) 1975 Remanufactured Rochester Quadrajet 4bbl Carburetor P/N 7045200 TL.  I had bought this carburetor for my 1975 Chevrolet Caprice 454 Convertible and after installing it and seeing no change in its drivability I removed it and put its original carb back on after using it for (1) day.  This carb is basically new with just some dust on it.  THis is a one year only carb and very difficult to find.  Pleas ensure that this is the proper carburetor for your application prior to bidding as I DO NOT offer returns.

Saab gets approval for voluntary reorganization on appeal

Wed, 21 Sep 2011

...and Victor Muller smiles Victor Muller never says die, and the news that Saab has, after all, been granted the right to court protection from its creditors for a period of reorganisation has vindicated his stubborn refusal to give up on Saab. The Court of Appeal in Gothenburg has this morning overturned an earlier judgement by the District Court in Vänersborg which rejected Saab’s application to get the court’s protection during a period of ‘reorganisation’, which you can read as ‘Waiting for the dosh to arrive from China’. The news last week that Rachel Pang – a director of Pang Da, one of Saab’s putative investors – has come out in a very bullish way about the prospects for the investment by Pang Da and Youngman getting the final rubber stamp from China’s NDRC in Beijing won’t have harmed Saab’s case one bit.

Porsche 918 Spyder laps Nurburgring in under 7 minutes

Tue, 10 Sep 2013

The Porsche 918 Spyder (pictured) laps the Nurburgring in under 7 minutes When the McLaren P1 was first revealed, Ron Dennis told us it would lap the Nurburgring in under 7 minutes. But it seems the best the McLaren P1 has managed so far is a 7:04, so it’s no surprise McLaren hasn’t officially declared its time as they probably knew it wasn’t enough, but also knew that Porsche has managed to take the new 918 Spyder round the ‘Ring in just 6:57s. That 6:57 by the Porsche 918 Spyder isn’t quite as quick as the Radical, but as the Radical has only single type approval, Porsche are justifiably claiming the 918 Spyder’s time as the quickest by a proper production car, beating the previous record of 7:11s set by the Gumpert Apollo.
