Up for sale is the steering cover removed from a 1975 Datsun 280z.  This cover appears to be in good usable shape.

Toyota & BMW to work together on next-gen lithium-ion batteries BMW and Toyota are to work together to develop next-generation lithium-ion battery technology to try and make battery power more effective. Late last year we learnt that BMW and Toyota are to work more closely to share technology and expertise as the car industry enters a period of consolidation and partnership to try and keep R&D costs under control, and make their products more cost-effective. The result of the BMW Toyota tie-up sees BMW getting access to some of Toyota’s Hybrid nous and Toyota getting access to BMW’s excellent diesel engines.

This is the car to render the Lamborghini Gallardo Performante pointless – it’s the Audi R8 GT Spyder, a drop-top version of the lighter, faster R8 GT coupe. Previewed in these design sketches from Audi, the R8 GT Spyder is expected to be revealed in full at the 2011 Frankfurt motor show in September. So this Audi R8 GT Spyder is a R8 GT without a roof? Essentially, yes.

The official blog for the 2013 Coventry University Industrial Design Degree Show has launched. Featuring project updates and imagery from this year's Industrial Design undergraduates, it allows Bachelor's students to promote their work ahead of the 2013 Degree Show and lets viewers follow the progress of their final projects and college work in real-time. A monthly archive also means viewers can look back over past submissions.
