Arrest made in Paul Walker Porsche parts theft

Fri, 06 Dec 2013

An arrest has been made in an apparent theft of a piece of the destroyed Porsche Carrera GT involved in a Saturday crash in California that killed actor Paul Walker, CNN is reporting. A number of cars had reportedly followed the tow truck that was transporting the wreckage to a police facility. When the truck stopped at a red light, the occupant of one of the vehicles, alleged to be 18-year-old Jameson Witty, ran up to the truck and retrieved a piece of the wreckage, a T-top roof panel of the red Carrera GT, He later posted a photo of it on Instagram.

Orange alert for Seat's fastest car ever

Thu, 06 Mar 2014

IF YOU’D like your brand new Seat Leon Cupra 280 a little more orange than the basic colour palette allows, check out this new development from Seat UK. The firm’s British arm has responded immediately to complaints that the fastest Leon ever simply didn’t look crazy enough, thanks largely to its muted choice of colours. Seat UK has reacted with a shockingly orange bodyshell wrap, covering the original finish and protecting it from damage, as well as giving the Leon Cupra’s stunning lines a bit more to shout about.

Dodge Viper takes Nurburgring Record – sort of

Fri, 16 Sep 2011

Dodge Viper - new Nurburgring record Back in 2008, the Dodge Viper ACR went to the Nurburgring and proved that cars built in the former Colonies really can go round bends, even bends at the ‘Green Hell’ of the Nurburgring. Not only could the Dodge Viper go round bends, but it made a pretty good fist of blasting down the straights too, culminating in a record-breaking lap of 7:22.1. But since 2008 things have moved on, with even a Lexus LFA posting a ‘Ring time of 7:14.64, so the SRT has returned to the Nordschleife to set about squeezing a bit more out of the Viper.
