Engine professionally rebuilt. Bored 1st oversize. New Wossner pistons, new rods, bearings, seals. Best quality parts used. Forks rebuilt, new shocks, wheel bearings, bronze swing arm bushings. All cables new. New master cylinder, rebuilt caliper, stainless brake lines, EBC brake pads and shoes. New DID wheels with Buchanan stainless spokes. Hubs polished. Modern style Bridgestone tires. Professionally painted with new decals clear coated over. Less then 100 miles on everything done to this bike. A little over 9000 original miles on the bike. Mercedes' tuning arm AMG has not yet ventured into sensible B-class territory, but a bunch of Merc trainees in Germany has come up with this: the B55. It's a V8-powered B-class, complete with AMG-spec 383bhp 5.5-litre V8 mounted up front and driving an old W210 E-class rear axle. Sounds like a promising skunkworks special, derived from an old B200 CDI hack that was kicking about the training centre.

The final leg of our cross-country Corvette trip took us from Detroit to Charlevoix, Mich. -- about 45 minutes north of our birthplace, Traverse City. Aside from the drivers on I-75 in metro Detroit -- who may be the worst in the world -- and the still-intermittent audio system, the ride was pretty uneventful.
