I am selling many Cadillac parts that came from a 1976 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible that was stripped for body work and painting, but then the guy skipped town with the project in mid-stream.  I am selling those parts here along with other parts that I picked up for the restoration project.

Up for sale here is the trim piece that goes around the steering column with oak trim, taken from a 1976 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible.  I don't know what other models this fits so please do your due diligence before bidding if your car is not a 1976 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible. Item looks good from the front, oak trim is in good shape.  One scratch in the black area inside.  Missing one screw that attaches the lower part of the trim under the steering column.  Looks like it may have come off a car that had an engine fire as back side looks charred, but rubber seems to be fine and piece itself does not looked warped at all.  Definitely not a show piece!  This is a driver quality piece!

Thanks for looking and good luck!

Skoda Superb facelift (2013) first official pictures

Wed, 03 Apr 2013

This is the new 2013 Skoda Superb, which sports completely redesigned front and rear bodywork, and more frugal powertrains than the outgoing car. What's new under the bonnet of the 2013 Skoda Superb? Stop-start tech and a kinetic energy recovery system (which takes the strain off the engine's alternator by using braking to charge up a capacitor) cuts fuel consumption by up to 19% versus the old Superb. It's all fitted as standard on the diesel engines, and the entry-level 1.4 TSI petrol.

Mercedes GLA SUV UK launch down a salt mine in Cheshire

Mon, 31 Mar 2014

The new Mercedes GLA down a salt mine in Cheshire Trying to find an unusual venue for new car launches is something that taxes the brains of car PR teams, and Mercedes came up with somewhere a little left field for the launch of the new GLA Compact SUV – the UK’s biggest salt mine at Winsford in Cheshire. The Winsford Rock Salt Mines – 130 miles of salt mining tunnels running under Cheshire – are the result of salt mining since the 19th century and now comprise of 130 miles of tunnels some 189 metres below ground, a void beneath the earth of 23 million cubic metres. Still a working salt mine, Winsford is also home to a massive storage facility for, among others, the National Archive, where constant temperatures of 14C make for an ideal storage environment.

Alfa Romeo US relaunch delayed

Mon, 11 Apr 2011

Alfa Romeo Giulietta - American launch delayed until 2013 It’s getting on for two years since we reported that Alfa Romeo were going to relaunch themselves in the US after an absence of twenty years, to give Americans an Italian alternative to the likes of Audi, BMW and  Mercedes. A quality European alternative with Italian flair was the logic. But within a month of the announcement that the US was to be beguiled by Alfas once more came the news that the MiTo wouldn’t be going on the American sojourn.
