1977,1978 Mustang Cobra Right and Left T-Tops.
This is a pair of better than average Tops. The smoked glass looks great, the latches work good but the really exceptional quality of these tops is the plastic seal inner framing. I ran a Mustang shop for years and the big draw backs on the Mustang2 T-Top cars was that most of them all had the plastic inner framing shrinking and distorting causing them to leak. Not just leak, but when that framing was bad the water just poured in no matter if the seals were perfect or not. This pair of tops I have are the nicest that I have seen ever. The plastic framing is perfect, attached nicely to the glass, following the outer edge where it belongs without any distortion at all. One seal is loose from the plastic that needs to be retacked and I don't have the time or space to do it but that's a EZ fix. There is also a spot on one end of the rubber that a previous owner tacked on a 1" piece of foam seal because the frame seal on their car body probably shrank. The T-Tops are both probably the best used pair of Tops that a person can find. |
