FOR AUCTION: SEAT AND BACKREST REMOVED FROM A NON-RUNNING 1977 BMW R100/7 MOTORCYCLE. THIS BIKE HAS BEEN SITTING FOR YEARS. SEAT IS IN PRETTY GOOD CONDITION FOR THE AGE. NO RIPS ON TOP OF SEAT AND BACKREST. THERE ARE AREAS OF SEPARATIONS IN THE MATERIAL AT THE BOTTOM WHERE IT MEETS THE PAN AND THE PAN DOES HAVE SOME RUST. SOME MOUNTING BOLTS, BUT NOT ALL, INCLUDED. THERE IS SOME LIGHT STAINING ON MAIN PART OF SEAT, BUT IS PRETTY MINOR. AREAS OF MAIN SEAT, WHERE BACK REST BOLTS ONTO IS TORN, BUT IS COVERED WHEN BACKREST IS ATTACHED. BACKREST HAS BEEN REMOVED AND WILL NEED TO BE RE-INSTALLED BY BUYER. CHROME ATTACHED TO BACKREST HAS SURFACE RUST AND PITTING, BUT NO RUST THRUS. THE PICTURES SHOULD GIVE A GOOD IDEA ON CONDITION. BMW launches i sub-brand

The new brand seeks to integrate sustainable elements with a slew of powerful technology whilst simultaneously improving mobility across both private and public platforms. The first vehicles will be launched in 2013.
Kia Naimo concept
Thu, 31 Mar 2011As the Seoul Motor Show starts today, Thursday 31st March, Kia is debuting the Naimo all-electric concept. The concept takes its name from the Korean word ‘Ne-mo' meaning square shape - something that lends itself to the Naimo's aesthetic. The crossover utility vehicle, or CUV, was conceived by Kia's international design team in Seoul and is characterized by its ‘simple lines and solid, muscular stance.' The simple overall design sports such interjecting details as the wrap-around windscreen and asymmetric sunroof. This mixture of simple and complex is a reference to the common traits of many traditional Korean arts and crafts. The Naimo's interior was designed to evoke a strong sense of tranquility and features hand-crafted materials throughout such as Korean oak on the floor and door cards, with "Han-ji" paper being used for the head lining. Juxtaposing these traditional elements are modern features such as the transparent organic led display instrument panel.

Car makers are slowly waking up to the joys of the Interweb as a way to promote their wares, and they’re all busy feeding their Twitter, Facebook, Google+ and YouTube channels with new content to keep fans amused. It’s never exactly the most unbiased content so it often needs taking with a pinch of Maldon’s finest, but YouTube, in particular, gives car makers the chance to showcase their cars in action, and if they can do that and makes ‘fans’ feel a part of it, so much the better.
