Young drivers 'can't fit a spare wheel'
Thu, 22 May 2014AS MANY as 11 out of 20 young people in the 18-24 age bracket admit to not knowing how to change a car tyre, according to a new survey. The data, released by IntelligentCarLeasing.com, will stoke the flames of animosity among older drivers by indicating that the majority of young drivers are operating without basic practical motoring skills. Young men are more confident that they know how to install a spare, with 57.1% claimed they could do so.

CDN will be actively contributing to the insights into the direction being taken by car design in the country by hosting two events; the annual Interior Motives China conference and, on the middle evening of the conference, the awards ceremony of the second Car Design Awards China, for which the shortlist has just been announced. Themed ‘The challenge of being different', this year's Interior Motives China conference will see around 300 delegates wrestle with how to capture what is ‘Chinese' in car design. Car spending 'more than holidays'
Fri, 11 Apr 2014NEARLY HALF of drivers in the UK spend more disposable income on their car than anything else, according to a survey. Spending on cars (47%) easily outweighs the amount spent on holidays (21%) and socialising with friends (13%), the poll from Halfords Autocentres showed. But the survey also found that 10% of drivers were cutting back on car maintenance to save money.
