Up for sale is a 1977 Kawasaki KD 175. This is a fairly rare bike with only 2400 produced in 1977. This bike is in good used condition and is a lot of bike for the money. This bike will be sold with a bill of sale, there is no title as it's not a streetbike. This bike is not currently running but the engine turns over freely. The Kawasaki KD 175 was produced from 1976-78. The tires look new and still have the little nubs on them. I got this bike in a "lot" of Kawasaki parts and bikes that I purchased and it is being sold as is, not running. I was told that this bike is missing the oil tank under the left side cover. I am not sure if other parts are missing. This would be a very inexpensive way to get into Vintage AHRMA motocross racing. I don't know much about these bikes other than the little research I did to find out what I had so please ask questions before you purchase if you have them and I will try to help out as best I can. I require a $250 deposit through paypal at auction end to hold the bike and the balance to be paid within 4 days of auction end. Shipping and all associated costs are the responsibility of the buyer. If you are shipping domestically I reccomend USHIP, I have used them many times with good results. Thank you.

Mazda's rotary spins to its 40th

Thu, 31 May 2007

By Tim Pollard Motor Industry 31 May 2007 02:03 Mazda yesterday celebrated 40 years of making rotary engines. It remains the only mainstream manufacturer persisting with this type of motor and has built 1.97 million of them since 1967. Rotary engines came to prominence in the 1950s as manufacturers experimented with turbine engines, but most admitted defeat in the face of technical difficulties and the inherent thirst of rotary units.

BMW's yearlong Mini E trial exposes infrastructure problems

Mon, 21 Sep 2009

Early next decade, BMW of North America plans to sell an electric "megacity car" as a subbrand of BMW, similar to the brand's M high-performance cars. But further details are skimpy. BMW already is preparing for that launch.

Volkswagen & Suzuki – it’s handbags at dawn

Mon, 12 Sep 2011

Volkswagen Suzuki Partnership - things aren't exactly rosy Back in 2009 Volkswagen invested a rather large chunk of change (around €2 billion) in Suzuki in exchange for a 20% stake in the Japanese car maker, and there were big hopes for advantages for both parties. Volkswagen were looking for a quick-fix route to the burgeoning car market in India, where Suzuki were doing very well, with sales in India last year of 1.13 million cars – almost half its production – in comparison to VW’s paltry sales of just 53,000. In return, Suzuki were expecting to get a quick route to cutting-edge hybrid and electric tech for their range, and access to VW’s engines.
