It's exactly a month since the fifth annual Car Design Awards China's launch and we're pleased to announce all the briefs are in. Created to discover the latest crop of Chinese design talent, this year's contest – open to full-time students studying a design discipline of any kind in China – features briefs from Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Geely, JAC, Qoros and UD Trucks. Top Gear Series 19 starts 27th January 2013

It looks like the new series of Top Gear – Series 19 – will start on 27th January after ticket allocations opened up for the Wednesday before. The new series of Top Gear – which will be series 19 – should have been on our screens months ago, but the summer of sport, Strictly and the X Factor hogging schedules meant BBC bosses decided to save the new Top Gear for the New Year. But it now looks like Top Gear is set to return on 27th January after Applause Store listed five new dates for Top Gear tickets, starting on Wednesday 23rd  January (which should air on Sunday 27th January) running through to Wednesday 20th February (which will air on Sunday 24th).

Company drivers fail to have correct licence

FIVE IN EVERY 1000 company car, van and truck drivers in the UK does not have the correct licence to be at the wheel. With more than 5 million vehicles on the UK’s roads owned by companies, this means 5000 drivers either have the wrong licence or simply don’t have any licence at all. Research by the Licence Bureau has revealed the top five reasons for drivers failing to have the right licence for the vehicle they are driving.
