Up for auction is a Factory 1978-79 Trans Am AIR CLEANER BASE WITH UNCUT SHAKER AND CORECT CENTER LID for a 403 Oldsmobile engine. Also include the stainless attachment ring. It is USED but in nice original shape in my opinion. One small crack by the drain plug(See pictures) This is an UNCUT shaker and they are getting hard to come by. The air cleaner base is in excellent shape. PLEASE, see pictures and judge condition for yourself. DO YOUR OWN HOMEWORK AND MAKE SURE THIS IS WHAT YOU WANT BEFORE PLACING A BID. And we knew – because they ‘hinted’ at it when we spoke to them last week – that the whole Top Gear segment had more than a little to do with the Paramount Group in South Africa, purveyors of innovative armoured vehicles. So, as suspected, we were treated to Richard conquering the Urban Jungle of Johannesburg in the Paramount Marauder, an aptly-named, go anywhere, seemingly indestructible piece of military hardware made street-legal.
Drink-and-drive deaths down in 2007

According to the data the number of fatal accidents dropped by 16 percent from 2006 to 2007 (from 490 to 410), while the number of deaths in these accidents fell 18 percent (down to 460 in 2007 from 650 in 2006). But while the number of deaths is going down, hospitals are still being kept busy as drink-drive casualties rose from 11,840 in 2006 to 12,260 in 2007, a jump of four percent.

Volkswagen has left it a bit late in the model life of the current Golf to deliver the VW Golf GTI Cabriolet, but better late than never. With 207bhp and 207lb/ft of torque the GTI Cabrio can whip to 62mph in 7.3 seconds and on to 147mph.
