Up for sale is a recently reupholstered 1978 cx500 seat. Professionally done. Stepped cushion was shaved down between 2" and 3" in different area as well as narrowed in the front. New hand stitched leather. New old stock seat stay was installed to replace the original. Seat has only been ridden 5 times. It has literally spent more time sitting on a shelf in my apartment than on the bike. It has never been left on the bike when it wasn't being ridden. The only wear on the seat is on the edge from sitting on the shelf. Recently weather sealed the leather for longevity. I'm only selling it because I decided to fully rebuild my cx, and I'm going to modify the frame so I no longer need this seat. My loss is your gain. The last photo shown is of the seat installed.

Shipping cost: I've been having an issue with eBay calculating the cost of my motorcycle related objects. So I set a flat fee, and I will refund the excess cost after I mail the package to you.

Porsche's new '911': the Cayenne fire engine

Wed, 10 Sep 2008

By Nick Eaton First Official Pictures 10 September 2008 10:13 Another day, another Porsche variant. Stuttgart's fire department has taken delivery of two red-hot Cayennes with a difference: they're emergency vehicles which have been specially tweaked by Porsche's Training Centre for the city's firemen. The Stuttgart fire service claims that the hilly topography of the city meant it needed all-terrain emergency vehicles, and the project was given to local firm Porsche because the Cayenne served up the firemen's needs for something that can go anywhere fast. Nothing at all with them wanting to arrive in style or make neeh-naah noises in a Porsche.

Inside MP4-12C's new McLaren Production Centre

Thu, 17 Nov 2011

McLaren today opened the doors to its new McLaren Production Centre which will build the MP4-12C and all future supercars from Ron Dennis's fledgling sports car brand. British prime minister David Cameron attended the event, hailing the economic benefits of manufacturing. He said the UK car industry was helping reshape the national economy from a service-based one enriching the minority to one which actually made things again - to the benefit of a wider slice of society.
