1978 Yamaha XS 1100 Rigid Chopper Rat Motorcycle

Running, clean title,  passed 2016 NYS Inspection.

The fork seals are new.

The battery is a new, heavy duty Oddessy battery.

The Shinko tires have about 1000 miles on them.

This 1978 Yamaha superbike is criminal fast.  Everything that could be chopper of the bike was cut away to make room for a killer looking bike.  The rear end is rigid, but a springer seat has been installed for a little cushion.  The rear drive is a drive shaft, so you do not have to concern yourself with a messy chain to maintain.  The drive shaft delivers smooth, linear power that is unequalled for this generation of bike.  This chopper sits way low to the ground.  I am 5'-10" tall and can throw a leg over it and not touch the seat until I'm ready to ride.  I am not 100% sue about this, but my friend I got the bike from said that this Yamaha actually has the power to repair itself.  I don't believe it completely, but I have ridden it a year now with no issues.  This is your chance to get a great deal on a super bike.

This is a no reserve auction.  Happy Bidding.

You Will have to come and pick it up.  I will not deliver it to you.

Lexus sales up but Toyota's profits tumble

Wed, 13 Aug 2008

By Ben Whitworth Motor Industry 13 August 2008 13:25 With spiralling fuel prices, luxury off-roaders may be seen as the devil on wheels in the UK’s current cash-strapped economic climate – which would explain why last month saw a sharp drop in SUV sales at BMW, Audi and Mercedes. But not at Lexus. July 2008 sales of the company’s RX400h hybrid off-roader climbed 28 percent over the same period last year, rising from 223 to 285.

Bugatti unveils Veyron Grand Sport (2008)

Sun, 17 Aug 2008

By Ben Pulman First Official Pictures 17 August 2008 17:29 Bugatti has released more details of its targa-top Veyron Grand Sport following the cars debut at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. And with the roof off, the Grand Sport is the slowest Veyron ever, capable of just 225mph. But don't fret, because with the targa panel in place the Grand Sport will still do 254mph. The windscreen now sits a little higher and there are daytime running lights and new alloys.

Volvo Concept Coupe (2013) at Frankfurt motor show

Thu, 29 Aug 2013

The Swedes have done emotional coupes before – like the C70 and the legendary P1800 – but the Volvo Concept Coupe is the first from its new designer, Thomas Ingenlath. Recruited from VW, Ingenlath says that the concept, which is underpinned by the new SPA platform (which stands for Scalable Platform Architecture) that will be used on the 2014 XC90, is both a nod to the past and a signal of intent for the future. You’ll be able to see it at the Frankfurt motor show in September.
