    Product Description

1979-1993 Mustang Automatic Transmission Tunnel Hump

The 1979-93 Automatic Fox body Mustang had a different shifter mounting location compared to the 5 speed applications. When enthusiasts decided to do a 5-speed swap on their car, they had to either pull the transmission tunnel hump panel from an existing 5-speed car or run without it. The problem with this is that the hole for the automatic shifter was in a slightly different location and smaller than the normal manual transmission opening. This causes the lower shift boot to not mount up properly to the existing hole. Now things have changed. This is the 5-speed specific transmission tunnel hump that goes on top of the factory tunnel. This steel panel provides the proper size hole and correct location for the lower shift boot to mount up. This panel was originally spot welded into place but can easily be held into place with pop rivets or other similar fasteners.

BMW ActiveHybrid 5: BMW has another crack at Hybrid

Sat, 01 Oct 2011

BMW ActiveHybrid 5 - arrives in the UK February 2012 BMW’s Hybrid efforts to date haven’t been exactly an unmitigated success, with the BMW ActiveHybrid X6 not even making it to the UK before it was dropped. But now they’re having another crack at eco-cars with the BMW ActiveHybrid 5, a hybrid version of the latest 5-Series. The ActiveHybrid 5 gets a 302bhp twin-turbo six-cylinder in-line petrol – a good start – and throws in to the mix a 53bhp electric motor.

New Boxster and Caymen swell Porsche’s order book

Sat, 11 Apr 2009

The 2009 Porsche Cayman S - helping to boost Porsche sales [ad#ad-1] We’ve run stories on how well Porsche, and the whole VW/Audi group, is holding up through the current malaise in the car industry. Porsche’s last lot of profit figures were very impressive, but were mainly due to the huge amounts Porsche made on its trading in VW shares. We noted at that time that Porsche reckoned its sales were slow because people were waiting for the new versions of the Boxster and Cayman, and when that happened sales would increase.

Mercedes GLA Concept: OFFICIAL

Thu, 18 Apr 2013

Aimed at cars like the BMW X1 and Audi Q3, the GLA is a good-looking compact SUV that carries much of what’s good about the new A-Class, raises its ride height, adds a few butch bits and creates a car that will probably have more appeal for owners of the old A-Class than the new A-Class does. The GLA heading for the Shanghai Motor Show sports a 2.0 litre turbo with 208bp, 4MATIC and a 7G-DCT gearbox – which we guess makes it a GLA 250 – and sports something new – laser headlights that function as projectors. The GLA features a pair of cameras on the front of the roof rails that can take 3D HD images and can be removed if you want to use them for mountain biking or jet-skiing or whatever floats your sporty boat.
