BMW Concept 1-series tii and M3 saloon (2007): first official pictures
Wed, 24 Oct 2007By Steve Moody First Official Pictures 24 October 2007 02:47 Two World Debuts at Tokyo: Are BMW turning Japanese? With the vast proliferation of BMW models, there just aren’t enough motor shows to go round, so Tokyo was treated to the unusual sight of two world debuts from the Germans: the outwardly sensible (but mental behind its closed four doors) M3 and the mental-in-every-way Concept 1 Series tii. The Concept 1 Series tii, BMW executives were extremely keen to point out, is a design study intended to highlight the new coupe’s links to great road and racing BMWs of the past, such as the 2002 tii of the 60s and 70s and the brilliant 3.0 CSL of the 70s.
Driven: Honda FCX Clarity
Mon, 16 Nov 2009It may be powered by a hydrogen fuel cell but the Honda FCX Clarity is no work-in-progress; its technology awkwardly shoehorned into an existing model. Nor is it a brittle concept without suspension banned from exceeding 30mph. It's a safety-tested four-seat executive sedan designed from scratch to accommodate hi-tech underpinnings.
Honda S660 concept stars at the Tokyo Motor Show 2013
Wed, 20 Nov 2013Honda is calling the S660 a concept, but when company president Takanobu Ito took to the stage at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show, one of the first things he did was confirm this exciting new small sports car – the spiritual successor to the Honda Beat – will be going into production in 2015. This is great news for Honda, and Ito-san acknowledged a next-generation small sports car has been long awaited by Honda fans, who’ve had little excitement to cheer about since the last Civic Type R and the S2000 roadster were stripped from the model line up.
