This is the Mercedes-Benz CLA, the four-door sedan version of the latest C-segment A-Class although the Merc marketing department would rather we call it a 'four-door coupé'. Previewed by the Concept Style Coupé at the Beijing auto show earlier in 2012, the CLA will join a growing band of C-segment premium sedans including the new Audi A3. At around 4,600mm long it's over 300mm longer than the hatchback.

Quarter of car sellers 'lie'

MORE THAN a quarter (28%) of people selling a car admit to telling a ‘white lie’ to help the sale go ahead. The statistics are higher among young car sellers aged 18-25-years old, where 33% admit to lying to make sure their cars is sold. A study commissioned by vehicle history service HPI found 11% of sellers admitted to hiding problems with their car, while 9% are prepared to alter the mileage of their car to achieve a better price.

Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts Degree Show 2010

China's Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts held its annual degree show in the school's Art Museum recently, showcasing the works of 16 transportation design students created over the course of the four year program. Divided into two parts, students were asked to design a solution for the increasing problems caused by the rapid development of car consumption in China. The projects consisted of a partnership project with Guangzhou Automobile Group Engineering Institute (GAEI) as well as the student's individual projects.
