1980-1982 Corvette Led Tail Lights (2) 1981 Brand New! on 2040-parts.com
Aurora, Colorado, US
Led Tail Lights (2) Here is a your chance to update your tail lights with the new led technology. It just couldn't get any easier! Remove your old lens and bulb, insert the socket and put the screw back in. These tail lights have 25 super bright red led's. They use epoxy coated, fully sealed electronics on solid state circuit boards. All the led's light up for tail lights and all get brighter for stop/turn. These appear stock until you look close. The led's are instant on and off. Almost unnatural! They are so fast NHRA had to re-calculate the Christmas Tree when they converted. Low current so they run cool. Tremendous life span. They measure about 5" OD. The listing is for a pair. I do stock the led flasher you will need. Lots of neat stuff in the Classic Car Goodies Store (currently over 1,000 items!). Mercedes' mystery building revealed!
Thu, 05 Jun 2014Last year, Mercedes-Benz USA was working out a lease on a huge 1.1-million square-foot former aircraft factory across the street from the Long Beach Airport that used to build DC-10s, MD-80s and Boeing 717s. Mercedes wouldn't say what it planned to do with the massive space. Was Benz building airplanes?
BMW set to go front-wheel drive
Wed, 17 Mar 2010BMW chairman Norbert Reithofer has confirmed that the German carmaker will introduce a new front-wheel-drive entry-level model positioned and priced below the existing 1-series as part of plans to help increase part sharing and to bolster the potential for production savings between the BMW and Mini brands, thus bringing an end to the era of rear- and four-wheel-drive-only BMW models. Speaking to AutoWeek at the Geneva motor show, Reithofer said internal BMW studies revealed that despite the downturn in the world's economy, there was continued demand for what he described as "premium vehicles" in the small-car class, before officially acknowledging plans that will see BMW produce a rival to the recently unveiled Audi A1 and a new Smart Forfour presently under development at Mercedes-Benz. "We will be extending the BMW and Mini brands into the small-car segment with new models and variants," he said.
The next presidential limousine might look like this
Tue, 18 Mar 2014A few days ago, the United States Secret Service posted the bid requirements for a new presidential limousine, which is set to debut during the 2017 inauguration of our nation's 45th chief executive. It's hard to believe that the General Motors-built Cadillac dubbed "The Beast" is already due for replacement, but the fleet of presidential limousines is cycled every four or eight years, with bids accepted from any American automaker. We'll spoil the show for you: the odds of a company other than General Motors winning the bid is pretty slim.
