Interior Motives Awards 2012 judges decide shortlist
Tue, 17 Jul 2012The Interior Motives Awards 2012 judging panel has whittled down a huge amount of entries into this year's competition to a shortlist of potential winners. The list can be viewed here. Over 160 aspiring young designers from 47 schools in 17 countries entered the competition, reflecting the growing recognition of the importance of the Interior Motives Student Design Awards among would-be vehicle designers.

Which, considering the sombre mood of car makers and the car buying public in recent months, is no real surprise. Even Motor Shows have been relatively sombre affairs (the Detroit Motor Show was particularly muted in 2009), but China is still booming, and the Shanghai Motor Show has been pretty much an old fashioned, glitzy affair.
Mitsubishi Concept PX-MiEV Ⅱ
Wed, 09 Nov 2011Mitsubishi is set to unveil a duo of concepts at the Tokyo motor show later this month, the first of which is the snappily titled Concept PX-MiEV II. The PX-MiEV II is a plug-in hybrid-powered, mid-sized corssover. Externally, the PX-MiEV II appears to be similar in concept to its Outlander stable mate, with a high DRG featuring lights that run into the plexi-grille; a subtle reminder of the car's electric drive train.
