We’re not the biggest fans of hybrid powertrains, it’s true to say, but that has more to do with the staggering amount car makers charge to offer the complex technology. But Infiniti is different, and their M35h costs just £1180 more than the comparable M30d with a diesel engine.

And so it was, with the news last month (thanks to a an email from Suzuki in Russia announcing the 2012 Swift Sport ahead of the game) that the Swift Sport was heading for a production-ready debut and going on sale in 2012. So it’s not exactly a surprise that Suzuki has sent us a single image of the 2012 Swift Sport to tease us in to a full debut at Frankfurt.
