What I have up for bids here is a decent used Evinrude/Johnson lower unit/gearcase assembly,, just pulled from a 1982 Johnson 70hp outboard that we are parting out and fitting a bunch of 1980s thru early 2000s 40hp, 45hp 50hp, 55hp, 60hp, 65hp, 70hp and 75hp models. This lower unit would be perfect for the guy who guy who is looking for a low cost lower unit to get that older outboard back on the water. For the opening bid of $149.99 you cant go wrong. This assembly thru OMC is very expensive, so if you need this gearcase, dont miss out.. Now here's what you will get,

Now as noted, this lower unit was pulled from a 1982 Johnson 70hp,, but this style lower unit was used on a bunch of 40hp, 45hp, 50hp, 55hp, 60hp, 65hp, 70hp and 75hp models in the 1980s thru early 2000s. Please check your olde gearcase, parts manuals or email us for more applications and fit.

I believe this lower unit might fit other Johnson and Evinrude models and years check your dealer or parts manuals for more applications.

Explosion at GM Tech Center; lithium battery is the suspected cause

According to WWJ CBS Detroit, there was an explosion at the General Motors Tech Center in Warren, Mich., on Wednesday morning. Deputy Fire Chief Gary Wilkinson said the explosion most likely was related to a lithium battery. Wilkinson told Autoweek that a responder notified the HAZMAT team via radio that the explosion involved lithium batteries in the research facility's Alternative Energy Center.

The Citroen Tubik may have overtones of a guppy fish, but this new nine-seat MPV concept car shows how the French envisage a people carrier of tomorrow. It draws inspiration from the Type H or TUB (French slang for a front-wheel drive commercial vehicle) van from Citroen's history books. So it's a spacious monobox and aims to solve the usual MPV dilemma or seats or baggage, by being simply massive.
