Wed, 25 Jun 2014By Tim Pollard Motor Industry 25 June 2014 14:52 Ford of Europe will stem its huge 10-figure losses and return to profitability in 2015, president Stephen Odell vowed this week. Talking to CAR at the global launch of the Ford Edge in Cologne, Germany, Odell vowed that heavy losses would be reversed by the sweeping Ford of Europe turnaround plan whose fruits would be borne over the next 12 months. New Volvo P1800 revealed by Volvo’s chief designer
Fri, 09 Dec 2011Volvo P1800 re-imagined Volvo’s Chief Designer at its Monitoring and Concept Centre has recreated the iconic Volvo P1800 for the 21st century to celebrate its 50th anniversary. The Volvo P1800 is perhaps the most stylish car Volvo has ever produced, and 2011 marks the 50th anniversary of the most unlikely of Volvos; a Volvo that was to The Saint what the Aston Martin DB5 was to James Bond. Designed to be eye candy for Volvo dealers hoping for more footfall in showrooms full of Amazons, the P1800 was designed by Pelle Petterson – the son of Volvo consultant Helmer Petterson and the driving force behind the Volvo P1800 project - who worked for Italian designers Pietro Frau.
Lamborghini Murcielago LP650-4 Roadster
Thu, 19 Feb 2009Lamborghini Murcielago LP650-4 Roadster Expected to sport the same 650bhp engine as the Reventon, this LP650-4 looks like it’s going to be one of the quickest open-topped cars there is, with a 0-60 time just over 3 seconds. Just like the Reventon, the LP650-4 looks likely to come in just one colour choice, in this case a matt grey (Grigio Telesta) with orange accents, and dark painted alloys. With the expected launch of the LP670-4 SV happening at Geneva in a couple of weeks, it is unlikely that Lamborghini will show this car, more likely saving it for later in the year for maximum impact.
