FORD RADIO

WE HAVE BEEN SEARCHING AND ACQUIRING PARTS FOR A LONG LONG TIME NOW.  HERE WE HAVE WHAT I BELIEVE TO BE A GOOD LOOKING FORD RADIO, 1981 I BELIEVE, BASED ON THE RESEARCH I HAVE DONE.  HOWEVER, LOOK TO MAKE SURE IT IS RIGHT FOR YOUR APPLICATION.  BEFORE BIDDING!!!  THESE UNITS TYPICALLY WORK IN A VARIETY OF MODELS SO OTHER YEARS AND MODELS MAY APPLY. THAT SAID THERE MAY BE SOME SLIGHT ALTERATION TO YOUR PARTICULAR UNIT.   OFTEN THOUGH THEY BOLT RIGHT IN. THE KNOB SPAN IS ROUGHLY 5 & 7/8.    THE RADIO SHOWS A LITTLE WEAR IN APPERANCE BUT OVERALL THE FACE LOOKS GOOD AS DO THE BUTTONS.  THERE ARE A COUPLE OF SCRATCHES IN THE INDICATOR FACE AREA. ONE KNOB IS THERE THE OTHER IS MISSING. LOOK CLOSELY AND MAKE SURE IT IS THE PART YOU NEED BEFORE BIDDING.   HERE'S THE THING.  THIS STUFF IS GETTING HARDER AND HARDER TO FIND.  DON'T PASS THIS DEAL.  I RATE THIS PIECE A 3 PLUS IN APPEARANCE, ON A SCALE OF 1-5 WITH 5 AS THE HIGH BASED ON AGE RARITY AND CONDITION. AT A MINIMUM A GREAT HOLE FILLER IF YOU ARE RUNNING A CUSTOM AUDIO SYSTEM ELSEWHERE.    NUMBER EISF

Please note:  I have no way of telling if the radio works properly and it is sold as is.    I CAN TELL YOU you it's good in appearance and usually these old radios were fine, merely replaced with aftermarket radios.  WE ALWAYS RECOMMEND OPENING AND AT LEAST CLEANING THE UNIT WITH AIR. When we decided to offer radios we made a decision to not claim that any radio worked.  We did this for a number of reasons.  It just seemed the safest way to go with most of the radios ranging from 30-60 years old.  Our thought was even if the radio played on the bench it might not play the following day.  So we don't test them.  Instead we start our radios at a reasonable price and know that often that means we don't see the money that a "Bench Tested" radio brings. And that's OK.  We'd rather have that then the issues that could come from saying an electronic part works.   Really, aren't you taking a chance anyway with Bench Tested unless it has at least a 90 day warranty?

We ship all over the world. AND we combine shipping and handling whe multiple items are purchased.

IF YOU BID PLEASE PAY.    THANKS.  IT BECOMES A PROBLEM FOR US BOTH IF YOU DON'T!

WE SHIP THE VAST MAJORITY OF OUR RADIOS PRIORITY MAIL WITH INSURANCE.  MUCH SAFER AND QUICKER HANDLING BY USPS.

HELLO FRIENDS.  JUST A QUICK NOTE.  WE SPENT A FEW WEEKENDS AT MANY OF THE MIDWEST'S LARGEST SWAP MEETS THIS SPRING SEARCHING FOR PARTS.  THOUSANDS OF PARTS, HUNDREDS OF VENDORS, AND NONE OF THESE. ZERO!   SO LOOK CLOSELY AND BID IF YOU NEED IT. A GREAT HARD TO FIND PART.

Pininfarina exhibit opens at the Museo dell’Automobile di Torino

Tue, 22 Mar 2011

The National Automobile Museum of Turin, Italy, has reopened its doors to welcome a bevy of Pininfarina models from past and present into its midst. The display takes on some of the milestone models of Pininfarina design and sees a wide selection of cars take up residence amidst the 200 others already on display at the recently renovated museum. Of the more desirable models being shown is a 1947 Cisitalia 202, the two seater berlinetta that has been described as 'moving sculpture' by Arthur Drexler, the highly influential curator and director at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
