TRUCK HAS BEEN SITTING FOR ABOUT 15 YEARS, YES IT DOES RUN AND NOT DRIVABLE, IT DOES ROLL FREELY ON ITS OWN.TRUCK RAN AND DROVE FINE PRIOR SITTING, PARKED IT DUE NOT PASSING THE YEARLY SAFETY INSPECTION DUE TO FRAME RUSTED BAD. MILES IS 166,000 AND HAS 2.2L DIESEL AND 5 SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION.
I HAD IT RUNNING TODAY, IT IS RUNNING FROM A REMOTE FUEL TANK WITH FRESH FUEL , I DONT WANT TO USE THE OLD FUEL IN THE TANK, IT STARTED WELL AFTER A FEW CRANKS, IDLES GOOD, NO NOISES OR SHAKING IT ACCLERATES GOOD. I LET IT RUN FOR ABOUT 10 MINUTES AND THEN SHUT IT TO CHECK FLUID LEVELS AND ALL LOOKED GOOD. THEN I STARTED IT UP AGAIN, THEN LET IT RUN FOR A 2 MINUTES THEN THE OIL LIGHT CAME ON, SO I SHUT IT OFF. I BELIEVE THE OIL FILTER HAS COLAPSE INSIDE(IT IS FRAM FILTER) I HAVE SEEN FRAM OIL FILTERS COLAPSING IN MY PAST EXPERIENCE( I AM AN AUTO MECHANIC) AND THE OIL IS VERY THIN AS WELL. I WOULD STRONGLY SUGGEST TO DROP THE OIL PAN TO CLEAN SUMP SCREEN AND CHANGE OIL AND FILTER. I WOULD BELIEVE THAT IT WILL BE FINE. TRUCK WAS RUNNING AND DRIVING FINE PRIOR BEING PARKED
IN THE PICTURES SHOW A TRANSMISSION ON THE FRONT DRIVERS SEAT,IT DOES NOT GO WITH TRUCK AND THE BLOCK ON PASSENGER SIDE DOES NOT GO WITH THE TRUCK AS WELL. THE EXTRA TAILGATE IN THE BED DOES NOT GO WITH TRUCK, TRUCK HAS NO BATTERY.
TRUCK DOES HAVE THE IMPORTANT DOCUMENT.

Wed, 26 Jan 2011Toyota recall the Avensis & Lexus IS 250 Toyota must have a sinking feeling of deja vu today, as the spectre of last year came back to haunt. 2010 was the year of the Toyota Recall, with millions of cars worldwide recalled to address the ‘Throttlegate’ issue of sticky accelerator pedals. But today’s recall announcement is not in that league, affects less than 20,000 cars in the UK (although over 1 million worldwide) and there have been no reports of any accidents relating to the recall in the UK.
Mercedes GLA – the new A Class SUV/Crossover – caught on video

Mercedes already has a hit on its hands with the new A Class (it’s sold 100,000 already) but there are more variants of the new A Class to come including the new CLA – the baby CLS – and the car we have here – the Mercedes GLA SUV / Crossover. Based on the same platform as the new A Class, the GLA is a new Mercedes niche aimed at the growing compact SUV market, just like the new Volvo V40 Cross Country.
Saab to use BMW engines & chassis
