Winners of the 2013 Michelin Design Challenge announced
Tue, 22 Jan 2013Michelin presented the three winners of the 2013 Michelin Challenge Design at its private Designers' Reception during of the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit's Renaissance Center. A jury of automotive designers and industry experts picked the winners from the 15 finalists that best explored how design contributes to and impacts the ongoing effort to develop more efficient vehicles, while keeping the emotional side of car design front of mind. This year's top three finalists are Jorge Biosca (Spain), Liu Shun (China) and Song Wei Teo (Singapore).

Renault has now turned the limited edition Mégane Renaultsport 265 Trophy from last year in to the replacement for the Mégane Renaultsport 250, so you can now order up the Mégane Renaultsport 265 as a regular production model in either the Cup or standard version. Just like the 265 Trophy, the new 265 gets the wick turned up a bit to release 265PS (261bhp) which means an improvement of 0.1 seconds to 62mph and an extra 2mph on the top speed (now 158mph).
Toyota to build Corollas at revived Mississippi plant starting in late 2011
Thu, 17 Jun 2010Toyota will resume construction on its mothballed plant in Mississippi and begin producing the Corolla there late next year. “We first needed to fully utilize our existing facilities as the economy slowed,” Yoshimi Inaba, president of Toyota Motor North America, said in a statement Thursday. “Now it's time to fulfill Toyota's promise in Mississippi.” The automaker said it will hire 2,000 workers “soon.” Corolla output would mark another shift for the project.
