Used 1981 OMC 3.8 L V-6 Complete engine with transom, exhaust manifolds,
800 stern drive with prop. This complete unit has a lot of hard to find parts. Engine has a 2 barrel Rochester carburetor. I believe this engine is a 170 H.P.
This motor and stern drive has not been running in several years. The motor and stern drive did run good before then. Starter on motor is not a marine starter, it is a G.M. automobile starter. Motor and exhaust manifold does have some freeze damage just to the outside, 2 spots on motor and 1 spot on exhaust manifold . Their is no water intrusion in the crankcase. Please see pictures. The whole unit has only been used in fresh water. The last 4 pictures shows cracks in engine and exhaust manifold, 3 cracks total.

Concept Car of the Week: Volkswagen Microbus (2001)

Fri, 18 Oct 2013

The turn of the millennium seemed to induce a feeling of nostalgia among car manufacturers and with it a plethora of heritage/retro designs, including the new Mini, new Ford Mustang and Nissan Z. Following the runaway success of its New Beetle, which probably started the trend, VW asked itself whether it could enjoy the same success with a modern interpretation of the legendary T1 Microbus. Designed at the surf-central design studio in Simi Valley, California, the Microbus Concept took ample inspiration from its distant ancestor, but was modernized in every way.
