Ford Fiesta 2011 US Revealed

Wed, 02 Dec 2009

The US Spec Ford Fiesta has been revealed We ran a picture the other day of the US Spec 2011 Ford Fiesta, and I have to say we were a little underwhelmed by what has been done to Europe’s favourite small car to make it appeal to American tastes. One Lap of the Web: A wiseguy in a Cadillac

Fri, 02 May 2014

-- Not many car reviews feature a shot-for-shot remake of "Goodfellas." (We're still banking on Ford's re-introduction of the Crown Victoria for a shot-for-shot remake of Beastie Boys' "Sabotage.") Matt Farah of the Smoking Tire did for its review of the Cadillac CTS V-Sport, which took four days to shoot and six to edit, and probably three more to steal the dolly cam from Scorsese's basement. -- You might not remember the Saturn Pioneer, but back in 1979, "the new marque Saturn was developed to play on the increased attention to astronomy NASA's deep space probes were generating," writes automotive historian/inveterate liar Jason Torchinsky. One of GM's many H-Body cars, the Pioneer -- named after the probe, not the Probe -- carried an innovative version of GM's venerable "Iron Duke": it had both a carburetor and throttle-body fuel injection, which undoubtedly added needless complexity that could have better served the real Rocket Division, Oldsmobile.

Transportation Design students at Germany's Pforzheim University displayed their work in the school's summer degree show held in July, one of two graduation shows per year. The exhibition included work from graduating Diploma and Masters students, a Honda project by MA students, and a Renault exterior and interior project by the 4th, 5th and 7th semester students. Projects by students graduating from the four year Diploma course included: Super Kit Car Andreas Zimolong In recent years there has been increasing demand for individualized products and for aftermarket customization.  Usually the functional aspects, and the artistic or visual aspects are treated seperately.
