Volvo marks 50 years of child seat with inflatable design

IT IS 50 years since Volvo first introduced the rear-facing child seat to better protect children in cars. To celebrate this half century, the Swedish firm has come up with a new inflatable child seat that is easier to install and carry. The Inflatable Child Seat Concept weights around half of what a normal child seat does.

BASF annual color trend report

Materials giant BASF has presented the findings of its annual color trend report, created by a team of designers scouting out global textile and furniture trade shows for information. And while some may think color trends are simply at the whim of designers, BASF's report identifies influences such as socio-political climate, interior design, architecture, technology and pop culture. Porsche 911 GT3 RS

Porsche has released pictures of the most intense 997 yet, the GT3 RS. Due to be released in spring next year in North America, the RS produces 415PS from its naturally-aspirated 3.6l flat-six, enough for a 0-62mph time of 4.2 seconds. Power is sent through the rear wheels only, whose surrounding shoulders widen by 43mm to accommodate the extra track.
