Saab are saved (?) by Pang Da Auto There can’t be many companies in China who haven’t had Victor Muller banging on their door armed with a chunk of Saab stock in exchange for a hat full of Chinese currency. A couple of weeks ago we had the news that Saab had signed a deal with Chinese car Maker Hawtai for €120 million in exchange for a big chunk of Saab stock and lots of ‘joint’ venture. But that fell apart last week even before Victor Muller could get to consummate the marriage.

Jaguar sign up David Beckham as the face of Jaguar in China Land Rover had a go at making Victoria Beckham the face of the Range Rover Evoque, and now Jaguar have taken Mr Spice on board as their new face of Jaguar in China. David Beckham has been revealed as a new Brand Ambassador for Jaguar, with the ubiquitous Mr Beckham front a centre in a new campaign in China to promote the Jaguar Brand. And it’s a good move.

Investindustrial take 37.5 per cent stake in Aston Martin

InvestIndustrial – former owners of Ducati – have taken a 37.5 per cent stake in Aston Martin for £150 million. We’ve been proclaiming for more than a year that Aston Martin needs new investment, and AML finally confirmed as much a few weeks ago. And just yesterday we revealed a deal for Aston Martin was now a one horse race.
