Porsche buyers put the brakes on stop-start technology

Start-stop works by cutting the engine when the car’s stationary in traffic, and restarting automatically when you touch the pedals to move off again. Every manual transmission-equipped BMW 1-series comes with the technology, excepting the truly high performance versions.

Hamilton wins in Hungary

Hamilton takes McLaren's firts win of the season at the Hungaroring Hamilton passed Red Bull’s Mark Webber early in the race, and found himself at the front of the pack when Alonso retired after a botched wheel change saw him lose his front wheel. But it was clear that this new Hybrid Coupe from Honda was anything but a concept and was in fact a virtually production-ready car. So it’s no surprise to see a leaked picture of the Honda CR-Z brochure coming out of Japan.
