MG Zero Concept at Beijing
Sat, 24 Apr 2010The MG Zero Concept has been revealed at the Beijing Motor Show It’s good to see a new MG. True, it may not be everyone’s idea of where MG should be, but at least Morris Garages lives to die another day and stays alive as a marque, which is more than you can say for Riley or Hillman or Humber or Triumph or Rover or Austin or Morris or Alvis or… What this may be is the MG2 we snapped being loaded on to a trailer in China a few weeks ago, but there is so little detail from MG in the press release on the MG Zero concept they might just as well not have bothered. If we’re going to get treated to a new MG – concept or not – it would sort of help if we got some detail.
Saab targets customers' hearts, brains and wallets in North America
Fri, 08 Jul 2011Saab executives said they're optimistic the struggling brand will be able to attract customers despite production stoppages at the company's Trollhaettan, Sweden, plant and cash flow problems. The Swedish automaker aims to target consumers and instill confidence with a grass-roots marketing campaign that focuses on the "heart, brain and wallet," Saab Cars North America President Tim Colbeck told reporters at Saab's North American headquarters in suburban Detroit on Thursday. Colbeck said the company must move away from selling vehicles based on price and focus more on making customers enthusiastic about driving Saab's vehicles.
Scion FR-S concept
Thu, 21 Apr 2011Another day, another variation on the fabled Toyota FT-86. Following on from the FT-86 II at Geneva and the re-emergence of the original version at the Seoul Auto Show, New York played host to the Scion FR-S concept. Unsurprisingly, the FR-S boasts the same front-engine, rear-wheel drive sports car demeanor - hence the name - but differs visually from the other variations from the long awaited Toyota.
