BMW went to town on creating an M3 pick-up as an April Fools joke Just as we did last year with car April Fool stuff, it seems to make more sense to do a roundup of what hilarious pranks the motoring world – renowned for its sense of humour – has conjured up this year for your mirth than to run separate stories. But sources at BMW admitted it was part of a April Fools Day plan.

Lincoln introduces Black Label trim at Pebble Beach

Lincoln introduced its hoity-toity Black Label Collection at Pebble Beach on Thursday. In the words of Jim Farley, “The new Lincoln Motor Company is built on three foundational elements -- design, quality and personal service; Black Label represents our highest expression of these elements.” Lincoln says its Black Label dealers will collaborate to create a personal, integrated client shopping and ownership experience, with respect for the luxury of time. We're not sure exactly what that means, but if the dealers can pick up the cars for gas, a wash and some fast food, that would be great.

Well now you can see the hot lap on video, courtesy of our Youtube film below. It’s not the best quality (it seems to have been filmed from a TV monitor at a Nissan event), but you can see test driver Tochio Suzuki at work in this eight-minute clip as he masters the Nordschleife’s notorious corners.
