1985 MOTOR IMPORTED CAR CRASH ESTIMATING GUIDE JUNE 1985

Vintage Motor Imported Car Crash Estimating Guide. June 1985, Volume 12, no 6. Wear to front and back covers, all pages appear to be in book. Musty smell from storage. Thanks for looking.

PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY..........As this is an auction, all sales are final so please...e-mail any questions or for additional pictures. Thanks for looking. I am selling mostly used items (if they are not labeled as being new, or new in box),so please look at all pictures carefully. I always have a lot of pictures so you can get a good idea of each item. I cannot and will not be an expert on all items. Unless otherwise noted, I am NOT original owner of item being sold, and depend mainly on information that has been given to me about item to put in description. I do research when and if I can, but mostly rely on previous owner for information. Because of this, there is always a possibility of missing parts or defects that I do not see or are aware of or even know to look for (although I do try as hard as possible). Unless the item is described as "new", the item is used and/or collectible and is AS-IS, no box or paperwork unless clearly stated and/or in the picture. I only accept items back if there has been a mistake in the listing, and item has been grossly misrepresented. PLEASE ask before bidding as to prevent unnecessary hassles. Flat rate shipping costs are for LOWER 48 only. Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, APO/FPO please ASK before bidding, especially on any large/heavy items - otherwise I WILL cancel your bid. (I need to see if shipping costs need to be adjusted.) If shipping is calculated via shipping calculator, then no problem. My handling time is usually 1-2 days. I LOVE to ship FAST, and usually ship every day except Sunday. Unless otherwise stated, there are NO returns on any items sold. There are NO refunds or exchanges on clothing. Although our home is odor free, all of our clothing is recommended to be dry cleaned or washed upon reciept, as they have been acquired from various sources and may have been exposed to smoke, pets, perfumes, etc...and FINALLY - All items come from a smoke-free house but I do have a cat and an English Bulldog. (Jasmine, who appears in photos from time to time because she is too lazy to move!) While I do not allow them to wear my clothes, I cannot guarantee that there won’t be a stray hair or two. If you are allergic to any type of pet hair, please kep this in mind. (They quit smoking last year!)

See my other listings for more great items!

Payment due within 3 days. Paypal only.

Most items ship within 48 hours of receipt of payment. ...DUE TO THE RECENT INCREASE IN USPS RATES, INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS PLEASE CONTACT ME FIRST. THE NEW PRICES TO SHIP INTERNATIONAL ARE VERY HIGH...All items shipped either USPS or UPS Ground unless otherwise noted. Local pick - up is always available.

Per Ebay new regulations regarding insurance--Unless otherwise stated, this item will be uninsured. (if shipped via USPS) All items shipped UPS that sell for less than $100 are AUTOMATICALLY insured.

Project Car Hell, 1940s Plutocrat Edition: 1940 Chrysler Imperial or 1946 Lincoln Sedan?

Fri, 06 Jun 2014

Project Car Hell is back for another matchup of appealing-yet-appalling project choices. Sometimes we like rusty old trucks suitable for fire roads in Idaho or hunting trails in Kenya, but such Hell Project choices always make the Hell Garage Demons itch for something much different. And, really, what could differ more from boxy, half-century-old 4x4s than great big luxury sedans with model years bookending American involvement in the war that blew up all of Detroit's serious global competitors for a good couple of decades?

BMW's new 5-series next for hybrid power

Wed, 28 Oct 2009

The new BMW 5-series being launched this winter is likely to be the next BMW to receive the ActiveHybrid system pioneered on the petrol-electric 7-series and X6 models. BMW engineers admit they can't rely on sales of the pricey hybrid 7-series and X6 to justify the development costs, even though these range-topping halo hybrids were jointly developed with Daimler and GM. Senior sources have indicated that the new 2010 5-series will be the next BMW to get an ActiveHybrid model.

BMW works hard to avoid gas-guzzler tax

Thu, 05 Aug 2010

BMW AG hopes to get out from under the gas-guzzler taxes that are tacked on to the sticker prices of some of its high-performance models in the United States. Jim O'Donnell, president of BMW of North America, says the company is studying fuel-efficiency improvements that could eliminate the gas-guzzler taxes on its vehicles as early as the launch of their redesigns in the next few years. The 2010 550i GT incurs a $1,000 gas-guzzler fee, for example.
