A few weeks back we announced that Ken Block, famed for his excellent Youtube Gymkhana videos, was switching his Subaru WRX STi for a Ford Focus RS in the World Rally Championships. Today we show you the smaller 2.0-litre turbo engine Ford Fiesta rally car he'll be trialling in the American rallies. BMW US CEO Jim O'Donnell - "EVs won't work for more than 90% of drivers" Really, you do have to ask what kind of barking mad world we live in when the boss of a car company is forced to apologise for telling the truth, simply because it upsets a vocal minority (and his bosses, no doubt) We’ve been banging on for years about how useless electric cars are as a replacement for the internal combustion engine, and how they are really only viable as inner-city runarounds and as toys for the better-off. Even then, electric cars have their problems. As inner-city cars EVs certainly do the local environment a favour by transferring emissions to the point of electricity generation instead of the point of use.

The Bentley Continental V8 flies across Munich The Bentley Continental V8 made a dramatic public debut in Munich when it was flown to the SkyLounge for its launch. The plan to debut the new Bentley Continental V8 (apparently we shouldn’t call it the Continental GT V8, just the Continental V8) in Germany in Munich’s SkyLounge might sound like a perfectly reasonable thing to do. After all, every car maker needs a ‘venue’ for a launch to make an impact, and something called the ‘SkyLounge’ sounds like it might make a good backdrop for Bentley’s newest toy.
