Jaguar Land Rover reveals best ever sales
Mon, 13 Jan 2014Jaguar Land Rover has announced it sold 425,006 vehicles in 2013 – a 19% rise on 2012, making it the firm’s best-ever year for global sales. Land Rover itself set another record, with 348,338 retail sales resulting in a 15% boost on 2012. For Jaguar, 76,668 sales made 2013 the division’s best year since 2005 – and was a 42% rise on 2012.

Joining the established GS 450h in the range early next year, the GS 300h promises highly impressive CO2 emissions of 109g/km from its 2.5-litre full hybrid powertrain. Tue, 18 Jun 2013Fully autonomous cars will challenge everything we know about car design to date, according to industry experts at the Michelin Challenge Design-hosted Automotive Press Association (APA) Design Panel. The APA members-only event, held at the Detroit Athletic Club, carried the theme of 'Driven/Undriven: The Duality of Tomorrow's Automobile' – the subject of this year's Michelin Challenge Design – and explored the design challenges and opportunities that will arise with the advent of autonomous vehicles. The APA Design Panel consisted of Jim Hall of 2953 Analytics, Chris Borroni-Bird, vice president of Strategic Development at Qualcomm and author of Reinventing the Automobile: Personal Urban Mobility of the 21st Century as well as Stewart Reed, chair of the Transportation Design course at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California.
