Jaguar hybrid cars due in 2013-14

Jaguar will launch its own hybrid vehicles soon after Land Rover, CAR can confirm. Parent company Jaguar Land Rover is developing battery-assisted hybrid versions for both brands but its strategy puts part-electric Land Rovers first on the launchpad in 2013.Hybrid Jaguars – set to include the XJ and XF, but eventually every model – are therefore likely to be on the market by 2013-2014, using a similar eight-speed ZF hybrid transmission to petrol-electric BMWs.The staggered roll-out of battery Jags and Land Rovers makes sense: heavy 4x4s have come in the firing line from green protestors who label them Chelsea Tractors. 2013 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 to appear at Goodwood

On Wednesday we told you about the Mazda MX-5 GT concept that will be featured at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. On Thursday, Ford announced that its new Mustang Shelby GT500 will be taking a turn on the famous hillclimb circuit as well. Goodwood will be the GT500's first appearance outside of the United States.

Limited edition Audi TT marks sales milestone

AUDI HAS created a special edition model to celebrate the TT line’s milestone of half a million units sold. Only 500 TTS Limited Edition models will be built, with 120 coming to the UK. Based on the TTS and using the same characterful 268bhp five-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, the Limited Edition will boast a selection of upgrades and two unique colours.
