Lexus hybrid concept to bow at Frankfurt

Lexus is finally jumping into the premium-compact segment in Europe with an eye-catching hybrid concept that will bow at the Frankfurt motor show. The LF-Ch is a five-door full hybrid that takes aim at a younger audience than Lexus typically draws. The car has a prominent grille, wide bumper and air dam.

Hartmut Warkuss to receive 2014 EyesOn Design Catalyst Award

Hartmut Warkuss, former head of Volkswagen Design, will be awarded the 2014 Catalyst Award by EyesOn Design at next week's North American International Auto Show (NAIAS). Warkuss, who is credited with overseeing the design of the Bugatti Veyron, the VW Concept (new Beetle) and the Audi TT Concept, will be presented with the award by Peter Schreyer, Hyundai's president and chief design officer and the 2014 recipient of the EyesOn Design Lifetime Design Achievement Award. The 25th Anniversary Edition of the MX-5 is based on the 2.0 litre Roadster Coupe with the 158bhp engine and can be had with either a manual or automatic gearbox, but just one colour – Soul Red Metallic.
