Lamborghini Aventador J at 2012 Geneva motor show

Mon, 05 Mar 2012

There maybe other Italian sports car manufacturers looking to hog the limelight at the 2012 Geneva motor show (and Ferrari and its 730bhp F12 is one of them) but Lamborghini will vie for attention with the Aventador J. A two-seat, open top speedster based on the Aventador LP700-4, it has some intriguing bits of carbonfibre tech and highly individual design. Named 'J' after the FIA’s Appendix J that governs the tech spec of race cars in certain classes, it’s proper bedroom wall material – but little boys and girls are unlikely to ever see it on the road as it’s a one-off and will go to a lucky owner after its appearance at Geneva.

GM may extend Saab deadline, report says

Tue, 29 Dec 2009

General Motors is prepared to wait beyond the end of this week before deciding on the future of Saab as it reviews remaining bids, Bloomberg News reported. The news agency quoted Saab board member Paul Aakerlund as saying that if there is a bid that GM finds sufficiently interesting, then GM's Dec. 31 decision to wind down its Swedish unit "is not a date that's holy.” Aakerlund said GM told Saab last week that it would wind down Saab and simultaneously continue talks with bidders about a sale, said Aakerlund, who also heads the IF Metall union at Saab.

The Range Rover 3.6 TDV8 Autobiography Review & Road Test The Range Rover – as most of you already know from the celebrations Land Rover had in June – is forty years old this year. Which seems hardly possible from my perspective; I remember its launch. Admittedly, it was long before I was old enough to drive on the roads, but old enough to remember the ‘Posh’ Land Rover and the impact it had.
