Eliminate that troublesome vacuum actuated front axle disconnect with this conversion kit for 1987-1995 Jeep YJ Wrangler Models. The hard plastic lines ( mostly brittle after all these years) are prone to leaks and the vacuum actuator on the axle housing is prone to rusting and leaking as well. This kit locks in the front axle permanently (like the newer Wrangler models) so when you grab the shift lever, it is in 4wd, compared to waiting for the system to engage when you need it most. Because the front axle is already spinning, it can be shifted into 4wd at any speed, compared to needing to come to most of a stop to engage factory vacuum system. I am including the correct electrical switch with special weather tight connectors and pins. These parts restore the correct operation of the dash 4WD indicator light. Fix the problem once and for all. With over 35 years of 4wd experience, I have found this really is the way to eliminate the problem once and for all!!
