Ford adds new Fiesta Style; drops Fiesta Studio price
Thu, 07 Jul 2011Ford Fiesta - seeking buyers further down the range Yesterday we got a new Fiesta limited edition in the Sport Special Edition and today we see Ford tweaking the bottom end of the Fiesta range to get more footfall in its showrooms. In comes the new Fiesta Style, from £9,995, which gets most of the cheap-looking bits on the body painted instead of being just plastic, and a few appealing toys like one-shot electric windows, driver’s seat height adjustment, remote locking and CD with aux in the standard kit list. Oh, and 15″ wheels with covers (perhaps that’s not such a big selling point).

And the latest creation comes from Aston Martin with the reveal today of the Aston Martin DP-100 Vision Gran Turismo Concept. Developed in just six months by Aston Martin’s Design Team, the DP-100 Vision Gran Turismo boasts an 800bhp twin-turbo V12, is mid-engined (a first for Aston Martin) and, if it were real, would offer blistering performance.
Video: Darrell Waltrip laps Bathurst with V8 Supercar driver Jason Bright
Tue, 11 Oct 2011One of the most entertaining things to come out of the Bathurst 1000 last weekend in Australia--besides Garth Tander and Nick Percat taking the checkered flag--was ex-NASCAR driver and commentator Darrel Waltrip going for a wild hot lap with V8 Supercar driver Jason Bright. After taking the first turn at speed in the 650-hp Holden Commodore, Waltrip yells, “Impossible!” The video gets even more entertaining around the Esses and the Dipper, two succeeding corners. The clip is full of repeatable one-liners from Waltrip including, “I lost my lunch, and I didn't even have lunch.” He calls the track on Mount Panorama a geological oddity.
