Fri, 21 Mar 2014Last week we asked you if you'd be interested in a Nissan Micra, which is built in Mexico and is available in Canada and dozens of other countries, but not in the U.S. A substantial majority of our readers, 77 percent, voted that they would be interested in buying the $9,100 Micra if it was sold in America, a slightly lower percentage than for most of our past foreign-vehicle polls (which were all quite different, it should be noted). The Micra essentially offers the same engine and almost the same amount of interior space as the Nissan Versa Note at 2/3 the price of a stateside Note, which is already considered to be about as spartan as it gets despite a $14,780 price tag.
CAR sets new hybrid speed world record in Infiniti M35h
Tue, 20 Sep 2011Infiniti M35h Hybrid (2011) long-term test review CAR Magazine has set a new Guinness World Record for an acceleration run in a hybrid car. Associate editor Tim Pollard drove an Infiniti M35h hybrid to record a 13.9sec time over the standing quarter mile - as quick as a Lamborghini Countach would've been in the 1980s. Thu, 19 Jul 2012A Porsche source has confirmed that Porsche are working on a smaller Panamera – the ‘Pajun’ – and a mid-engined Porsche 960. Now that Porsche has finally become part of VW, it can move forward with its plans to fill every supercar niche in the same way Audi is in a mission to fill – and create – every premium car niche. With two new models already officially confirmed as on the way – the Porsche Macan (a smaller Cayenne) and the Porsche 918 – Porsche’s minds are now firmly focused on the next two new models from Stuttgart – the eighth and ninth models in the range.
